Website Hosting

How it works for you...

Your website comes with one year free hosting. After that, you will be invoiced £99 annually for the hosting of your site. This includes your domain name, hosting, backups, security, updates, and troubleshooting. Please see below for an explanation of what’s involved. If you have any further questions, please get in touch.

Domain:

Your domain name is the address that people use to find your website. Your URL (Uniform Resource Locator) is the address of your website. For example, digitalink.media or google.com

These must be renewed annually.

Hosting:

Your website and its content needs to be stored (or ‘hosted’) online to enable people to access it. When people arrive at your site, this information is collected from the host and displayed for people to see. We offer cloud-based, unlimited hosting for all our website.

Backup:

As part of our hosting services, we operate a 30 day rolling back up on your site. The host takes a snapshot of your site from the last 30 days and stores it. In the unlikely event that something goes wrong, we can use this backup to restore your site and get you going again in no time.

Security:

We take a proactive approach to keeping your site secure. Your site will be protected in a number of different ways through log-in procedure and plug-ins that work to safeguard your site. We do everything in our power to keep your site from harm but we cannot guarantee complete protection. In the rare case that something happens will work with you to quickly resolve any issues.

Updates:

Many of the tools we use to build your website are constantly improving. As part of having your website with us, we make sure you’re always up-to-date. We carry out regular checks to make sure your site is working as it should be and download and install any relevant updates meaning your site is always at its best.

Troubleshooting:

Sometimes things go wrong. A link gets broken or a page isn’t performing properly. We normally pick these things up as we are updating your site but if we don’t you can always send us an email and we’ll get right on it. We’re always happy to answer any questions you have.
